Weight Loss Injections
With his niche expertise in weight loss, Dr Zafar is the best practitioner to administer an FDA-approved prescription injectable medicine which can result in in increased weight loss.
How does it work?
Unlike many weight management products, the injection mirrors a hormone the body produces naturally that regulates appetite, known as glucagon-like-peptide (GLP-1). It is thought that GLP-1 regulates appetite. By activating areas of your brain that regulate appetite, this may make you feel less hungry, which can lead to lower calorie intake and weight loss.
Who is this treatment best suited to?
This injectable prescription medicine may help some adults with excess weight (BMI ≥27) who also have weight-related medical problems or who are obese (BMI ≥30) lose weight and keep the weight off.
How much weight will I lose?
Individual results may vary. In recent medical studies, 62% of patients using this type of injectable treatment lost ≥5% of their body weight and 34% lost ≥10% body weight – and those who were able to lose 5% or more of their weight within 4 to 12 weeks with a low-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity were able to maintain that weight loss. Scientific research shows that along with a low-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity, patients who have used this weight-loss injectable lost nearly 2.5 times more weight. Typically most patients lose up to 8- 10 % of their body weight in about 3 months.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are not prevalent but some do experience a slight degree of nausea.
This treatment can also be used in tandem with Vitagene Test and aesthetics treatments such as Ultrasound Cavitation and Proellixe to achieve maximum results. Throughout your weight loss programme, Dr Zafar will carefully monitor your weight and offer full support to ensure you meet your body goals.
