A fit and well-proportioned body are often considered a symbol of health and vitality, but many of us have disproportionate body contours due to localized fat deposits. Any excess fat that does not respond to diet or exercise can be treated by Liposuction. With highly experienced surgeons, Euromed Clinic Center provides the best Liposuction in Dubai.

How can liposuction enhance the appearance of my body?

In general, Laser Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing localized or regional excess fat deposits, improving body contours and proportion and enhancing self-image. Meet our doctors at Euromed who are the most experienced specialists for Liposuction in Dubai. Liposuction can be used for the following areas:

  • Cheeks, chin and neck
  • Upper arm
  • Breast and chest areas
  • Back
  • Abdomen and waist
  • Hips and buttocks
  • Thighs
  • Inner knees
  • Calves and Ankles

Who is the ideal candidate?

Ideal candidates for Liposuction are adults who are within 30% of their ideal weight, with firm elastic skin and good muscle tone. Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease or previous pulmonary disease should be controlled before the procedure takes place.

How does it work?

The procedure is usually performed under local or general anaesthetic, and can last for anywhere between 15 minutes and 2 hours. Fatty tissue is removed through a cannula, which is sometimes assisted by an ultrasound to preserve subcuticular vessels. The cannula is introduced through a small incision, which will not be noticeable afterwards. Fat is progressively harvested but a one centimetre fat layer is kept under the skin in order to avoid any irregularities. Superficial cellulite is hardly altered.

What should I expect?

Incisions are generally very small and cannot be seen after 2 weeks. When large amounts are suctioned, compression garments may assist the healing process by helping the skin conform to the reduced body contour. This usually takes between 2-6 months. Secondary procedures may sometimes be recommended to reduce excess skin. In each session of surgery, the maximum amount of fat removal is around 6000ccs.

Patients need to control their weight and diet, prior to the surgery. Following Liposuction, your slimmer and better-proportioned body will more accurately reflect the healthy and active life you lead.

How long will surgery and recovery take?

The patient will stay in hospital for two days if the procedure is performed under general anaesthetic. In some cases, he or she may stay only for a day. Light work is okay after 1 rest day at home, although we usually recommend that our patients return to work after 2 days. Light exercise such as walking is recommended after 2-3 days, but heavy activity such as sport is not allowed for 3-4 weeks.
